Account Creation
Step 1: Access the Registration Page
Visit the MediConnect website and click on the "Login →" button in the top right corner, then select "Create Account" or "Register".
Step 2: Fill in Your Personal Information
Complete the registration form with the following information:
- Full Name (as it appears on your ID)
- Valid Email Address
- Phone Number
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Create a Strong Password
Step 3: Verify Your Account
After submitting your registration form:
- Check your email for a verification link
- Click on the verification link to activate your account
- You may also receive an SMS verification code on your registered phone number
Step 4: Complete Your Medical Profile
After verification, log in to your account and complete your medical profile:
- Medical History
- Current Medications
- Allergies
- Emergency Contact Information
Important Notes:
- Ensure all information provided is accurate and up-to-date
- Your personal information is protected and will only be used for medical purposes
- You can update your profile information at any time
Account Login
Step 1: Access the Login Page
Visit the MediConnect website and click on the "Login →" button in the top right corner.
Step 2: Enter Your Credentials
Enter your registered email address and password in the respective fields.
Step 3: Two-Factor Authentication (if enabled)
If you have enabled two-factor authentication:
- You will receive a verification code on your registered phone number
- Enter the code in the provided field to complete the login process
Step 4: Remember Me Option
You can check the "Remember Me" option to stay logged in on your personal device. For security reasons, do not use this option on public or shared computers.
Login Tips:
- Ensure caps lock is off when entering your password
- If you're having trouble logging in, try clearing your browser cache
- For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity
Forgot Password
Step 1: Access the Forgot Password Page
On the login page, click on the "Forgot Password?" link below the login form.
Step 2: Enter Your Email Address
Enter the email address associated with your MediConnect account and click "Reset Password".
Step 3: Check Your Email
Check your email inbox for a password reset link. If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder.
Step 4: Create a New Password
Click on the reset link in the email and follow the instructions to create a new password. Your new password should be:
- At least 8 characters long
- Include at least one uppercase letter
- Include at least one number
- Include at least one special character
Step 5: Login with Your New Password
After successfully resetting your password, return to the login page and use your new password to access your account.
Important Notes:
- Password reset links are valid for 24 hours only
- If you don't receive a reset email within 10 minutes, try requesting another reset

Change Password
Step 1: Access Your Account Settings
After logging in, click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Navigate to Security Settings
In the Account Settings page, click on the "Security" tab or "Change Password" option.
Step 3: Enter Your Current and New Password
You will need to:
- Enter your current password for verification
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password by entering it again
Step 4: Save Changes
Click on the "Save Changes" or "Update Password" button to confirm your new password.
Step 5: Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation message that your password has been successfully changed. You may also receive an email notification about the password change.
Password Security Tips:
- Change your password regularly (every 3-6 months)
- Don't reuse passwords from other websites
- Avoid using easily guessable information like birthdays or names
- Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong passwords
Log Out
Method 1: Using the Profile Menu
The most common way to log out:
- Click on your profile icon or name in the top right corner of any page
- Select "Log Out" from the dropdown menu
- You will be redirected to the home page or login screen
Method 2: Automatic Logout
For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity. This helps protect your account if you forget to log out or leave your device unattended.
Method 3: Closing the Browser
If you haven't checked the "Remember Me" option during login, closing your browser will also log you out of your MediConnect account.
Important Security Notes:
- Always log out when using a public or shared computer
- If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, change your password immediately and contact support
- Logging out from one device does not log you out from other devices where you might be logged in
Appointment Booking Details
Step 1: Access the Appointment Booking Page
After logging in, navigate to the "Appointments" section from the main menu or dashboard.
Step 2: Select Appointment Type
Choose the type of appointment you need:
- General Consultation
- Specialist Consultation
- Follow-up Appointment
- Prescription Renewal
- Lab Test Consultation
Step 3: Select Healthcare Provider
You can choose a healthcare provider based on:
- Specialty (e.g., General Practitioner, Pediatrician, Gynecologist)
- Availability
- Ratings and reviews
- Previous consultations (if you want to see the same doctor)
Step 4: Select Date and Time
Choose from available dates and time slots in the calendar. Green slots indicate availability, while red or gray slots are already booked or unavailable.
Step 5: Provide Reason for Visit
Briefly describe your symptoms or reason for the appointment. This helps the healthcare provider prepare for your consultation.
Step 6: Select Consultation Method
Choose how you would like to consult with the healthcare provider:
- Video Call
- Audio Call
- Chat
- In-person (if available in your area)
Step 7: Review and Confirm
Review all the details of your appointment and confirm by clicking the "Book Appointment" button.
Step 8: Payment (if applicable)
If your appointment requires payment, you will be directed to the payment page. MediConnect accepts various payment methods including:
- Mobile Money (MTN, Airtel)
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Bank Transfer
Step 9: Confirmation
After successful booking, you will receive:
- An on-screen confirmation message
- An email confirmation with appointment details
- An SMS reminder (if enabled)
Appointment Tips:
- Book appointments at least 24 hours in advance when possible
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection for virtual consultations
- Have your medical history and current medications list ready
- Join the virtual waiting room 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time
Cancel Appointment
Step 1: Access Your Appointments
After logging in, navigate to the "My Appointments" section from your dashboard or profile menu.
Step 2: Locate the Appointment
Find the appointment you wish to cancel in your list of upcoming appointments.
Step 3: Select Cancel Option
Click on the "Cancel" or "Reschedule" button next to the appointment details.
Step 4: Provide Reason (Optional)
You may be asked to provide a reason for cancellation. This information helps us improve our services.
Step 5: Confirm Cancellation
Click on the "Confirm Cancellation" button to finalize the cancellation process.
Step 6: Cancellation Confirmation
You will receive an on-screen confirmation that your appointment has been successfully cancelled. You will also receive an email confirmation of the cancellation.
Cancellation Policy:
- Appointments can be cancelled up to 4 hours before the scheduled time without any penalty
- Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee
- Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your ability to book future appointments

Rescheduling an Appointment
If you need to reschedule rather than cancel:
- Follow steps 1-3 above
- Select "Reschedule" instead of "Cancel"
- Choose a new date and time from the available slots
- Confirm your new appointment details

MediConnect offers the following pharmacy services:

Accessing Pharmacy Services
To access pharmacy services:
- Log in to your MediConnect account
- Navigate to the "Pharmacy" section from the main menu
- Select the service you need from the available options
Prescription Fulfillment
After a consultation with a MediConnect healthcare provider:
- Prescriptions are automatically sent to our integrated pharmacy system
- You will receive a notification when your prescription is ready
- You can choose to pick up your medication or have it delivered
Medication Delivery
For medication delivery:
- Select the "Delivery" option when fulfilling your prescription
- Confirm your delivery address or add a new address
- Choose your preferred delivery time slot
- Track your delivery in real-time through the app
- Delivery fees apply based on your location and are displayed before confirmation
Medication Reminders
To set up medication reminders:
- Go to the "Pharmacy" section
- Select "Medication Reminders"
- Add your medications and dosage schedule
- Set reminder preferences (push notifications, SMS, or email)
- Save your settings
Pharmacist Consultation
To speak with a pharmacist:
- Go to the "Pharmacy" section
- Select "Speak with a Pharmacist"
- Choose your preferred communication method (chat, call, or video)
- Wait to be connected with the next available pharmacist

Our pharmacy services are available:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Emergency medication services are available 24/7
Order Medication
Step 1: Access the Medication Ordering Page
After logging in, navigate to the "Pharmacy" section and select "Order Medication".
Step 2: Choose Medication Type
Select one of the following options:
- Fill a New Prescription
- Refill an Existing Prescription
- Order Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medication
Step 3A: Fill a New Prescription
If you selected "Fill a New Prescription":
- Upload a photo or scan of your prescription
- Ensure the prescription is clearly visible and all details are legible
- Add any notes or special instructions for the pharmacist
Step 3B: Refill an Existing Prescription
If you selected "Refill an Existing Prescription":
- Select the prescription you want to refill from your medication history
- Verify the medication details and dosage
- Indicate how many refills you need
Step 3C: Order OTC Medication
If you selected "Order Over-the-Counter Medication":
- Browse the available OTC medications by category
- Select the items you wish to purchase
- Specify the quantity needed
- Add items to your cart
Step 4: Delivery Options
Choose how you would like to receive your medication:
- Home Delivery: Medication delivered to your doorstep
- Pickup: Collect from a partner pharmacy near you
Step 5: Payment
Complete your order by making payment:
- Review your order summary
- Apply any discount codes or insurance information
- Select your preferred payment method
- Complete the payment process
Step 6: Order Confirmation
After successful payment:
- You will receive an on-screen order confirmation
- An email confirmation will be sent to your registered email address
- You can track your order status in the "My Orders" section
Important Notes:
- Prescription medications require verification by our pharmacists before processing
- Some medications may require additional authorization from your healthcare provider
- Controlled substances may have additional restrictions and requirements
- Delivery times vary based on your location and medication availability

Accessing Emergency Services
To access emergency services on MediConnect:
- Log in to your MediConnect account
- Click on the red "Emergency" button visible on all pages
- Select the type of emergency service you need
- Follow the on-screen instructions
Emergency Teleconsultation
For urgent medical advice:
- Select "Emergency Consultation" from the emergency services menu
- Briefly describe your emergency situation
- You will be connected to the next available healthcare provider, typically within 2-5 minutes
- Follow the healthcare provider's instructions and advice
Ambulance Dispatch
To request an ambulance:
- Select "Request Ambulance" from the emergency services menu
- Confirm your current location or enter a different location
- Provide brief details about the emergency situation
- An ambulance will be dispatched to your location
- You can track the ambulance's arrival in real-time
Emergency Medication Delivery
For urgent medication needs:
- Select "Emergency Medication" from the emergency services menu
- Specify the medication needed or upload a prescription
- Confirm your delivery address
- Complete the payment process
- Medication will be delivered on priority basis
